Past two days, there were two trending topics on my FB home page...The Thrissur Pooram and then the Elections Results( particularly about the Kerala Polls)... for me it was of nostalgia..and a realization about a True hero!!

Myself being a native of Thrissur...like every thrissurian...Thrissur Pooram is one big event that all of us hold close to our hearts...Ever since I can remember...any pooram, the beautiful colours associated with it, the fun, the happiness, the feeling of togetherness, the festive mood filling everyones heart, the street side vendors, the well decorated temple grounds, the elephants well decorated standing tall with pride, the fire works...it brings me back all the childhood memories...
However, when it comes to Thrissur pooram, I was never so lucky enough to actually be at the Thrissur pooram ground (pooram maidanam) on the beautiful day...Most families in Kerala don't prefer to take girls to the pooram ground for obvious reasons... so I always had to satisfy myself with the Live telecast of the pooram. But still I was happy...to see the pooram on TV channels every year...And now this year it changed even more...i couldn't even get the live version of it!!! Thanks to the busy work timings here...and all I could do was satisfy myself seeing the news updates and FB updates....
With so much of nostalgia filling in me....and to add to it, today morning, I happened to read this article by my friend in his blogs about the pooram and the memories associated with it...a well written post that touches the heart of every malayalee...especially a thrissurian...
And now as it comes to the Kerala elections....I am not very much of a political analyzer...but I have always had very low impression about politics. And all I could note all these years of vague reading was that...be it any political party...they all have internal troubles...all fights for power and money among the members...and I used to feel so much disgusted reading the fights among the politicians in news paper that at some points of time I used to quit reading newspapers..for the fear of mental breakdown aftermath...but lately... one person in politics who I have started to respect with all my Heart..(not based on any politics..or party...) I base my opinions based on an Individual's personality and deeds!!

So here he comes the latest hero of Kerala Politics Mr V S Achuthanandan or Achumama..he's a real comrade by all means...though he's been a star for the comedy stars who make a living by mimicking (and also trying to enlighten the world around through their comedies with some serious thoughts hidden under their comedy shows)...Kerala's chief minister for the past 5 years...though as usual like it happens during every parties rule...there has been lots of falls for his government too...but when it comes to him as an individual..his strong will power and the strong fights against corruption that has been making news during the past few months...he has turned out to be a real political hero...one person who could be a role model to the WORLD!!!
The Kerala elections and the Govt for the next term is almost fixed. We no more have Achumama as the Chief minister to lead Kerala to the next level of progress!! But who cares...as long as he is there be it in the ruling side or opposition..be it with his parties support or not...he would always remain the hero to inspire the generations to come...I am a proud Indian who is convinced that people like him don't actually have to remain in power to bring about a change.. I am sure he would continue his march against the Corrupted politicians. I give all my support to you...Sakhaave...Lal Salam!!
Thought to Think: I no more adore the super heroes who come and go in movies...but now here I adore...the people with real strength to come out in public and use their will power and courage as the weapon to bring about a change to the world we are living in..!!! I hope for a corruption free India...a place where we all can live with Peace n Pride!!
